The week of Glorious Goodwood promises to be jam-packed with fun and spectacular events making it an occasion to remember. Apart from the opportunity to meet past and present olympic and sporting legends on the first day, Glorious goodwood also promises a show of absolute raw horse-power and speed as displayed by these awesome horses. Glorious Goodwood however is not just about horse speed and power. The ‘ladies day’ sees a host of celebrities gather to do what they do best – show off their latest fashion attires and accessories. Of course the Steward's Cup remains the most important horse racing event.

GOODWOOD FESTIVAL OF SPEED

Goodwood Festival of speed 2011 will be remembered as a truly exceptional weekend which attracted a record number of car and general motorsport enthusiasts. It also witnessed a host of racing drivers and riders tackling the beautiful racecource at breathtaking speeds. Obviously the name festival of speed implies speed but it is also about breakthroughs in motor technology. Come and witness new cars brought through their paces and where records are broken.

The day before the festival of speed gets underway, the moving motor show will be held, giving new car buyers and motoring enthusiasts the opportunity to see the very latest models up close and in many cases drive them on a dedicated route on the Goodwood estate grounds.

GOODWOOD REVIVAL

Goodwood Revival reminds of how it used to be with the expected traditions. Here, spectators and competitors dress up typically in pre – 1966 traditional costumes and attires and with the cars on the race tracks the good old classic racing cars.

Although a very few make their own way to this event, most will rather book a personal chauffeur service or in the case of it being a corporate event will book corporate chauffeur services. Whatever the case, put Goodwood 2012 in your diaries. Young adults aged 13yrs – 18yrs get 50% off the ticket prices as from 2011 so there is really no reason to miss out on this special event.
